DETAILS: Independent Bottling Exploration

If you’re a whisky nerd, you know that all your favorite bottles of whisky were blended at the distillery to create your favorite release. That’s the magic and the art of whisky blending. It’s how our favorite whisky is released consistently year after year.

But rarely do people realize how barrels of the same whisky, made at the same distillery, and aged in the same warehouses can end up drastically different from each other. An exploration of independent bottling allows you to discover the variety available from barrel to barrel, even when coming from the same distillery.

We’ve chosen two different distilleries that we love in an effort to showcase the variety and power of independent bottling.
